In my opinion it matters how LGBTQ2S+ issues are presented in classes. I do not think that they should be a separate course or unit depending on the course they are being taught in. I think that for classes like English and Culture Studies they should be integrated into the class and not separated because this would other the LGBTQ2S+ community again. I do believe that in Sexual Education that LGBTQ2S+ relationships need to be discussed because students that are part of the LGBTQ2S+ community are not understanding the dangers of relationships. The representation of the LGBTQ2S+ community is lacking in many ways because in the media it is often dramatized and not realistic. If a teacher is not comfortable teaching LGBTQ2S+ issues then they should not because they could do more damage to the learning then the good. So I do think that LGBTQ2S+ issues should be taught in schools as long as it is done in the right way.
